13- Different Organs
For instance, one who has no tongue cannot speak.
He has spirit, but his organs are not functioning, so he cannot speak. The eyes are tools at the disposal of the spirit. If there are eyes, the spirit will use them. If they are blinded, this body and this tool cannot see anything. So now, the spirit cannot function in this world without tools.

William McDougall (Berkeley) objects to their notions and points out that life is more than just matter in the case of human beings. He believes that science has not provided any proof that the brain is not a determining factor for the mind.
