30- What is Our Responsibility?
When people follow a wrongful act, the sensory tool for that sense will strengthen. Ultimately, the pursuit and practice of shameful acts will lead people towards wrong deeds. That is why it has been said that doing an evil act has grave responsibility. The main issue here is the responsibility of carrying out ill-suited affairs, which results in the development and training of senses related to those affairs. Just as someone follows in the path of excessive sexual deeds, he will become well proficient in that regard and exaggerate lustful acts.
Losing balance in senses and following acts that focus on excessive strengthening of a few senses will yield disproportionate outcomes. People should take full responsibility for losing balance in their senses that can generate unfavorable outcomes. In the words of moral ethics, this is called shameful deed and disgraceful behavior, and religion calls it an act of sin.
On the other hand, pursuing good deeds and such affairs trains the beneficial parts of the senses, yielding beneficial results, which are called righteous deeds in the language of moral ethics. In religion, it is called oblation.
