57- Senses in Human Beings and Animals
Contrary to general belief, it is not true that human beings possess senses that animals lack, such as the sense of thinking and speaking and so on. All senses exist between animals and human beings. Nevertheless, some senses are more robust and powerful in human beings, while some are stronger in animals. For instance, the olfactory sense is more robust in dogs, or vision is more forceful in eagles. The sense of inspiration or clairvoyance is more potent in some animals (so reliable that they flee before earthquakes or camels can predict thunderstorms hours in advance).
As a general classification of senses between humans and animals, one can say that the senses of memory, thinking, clairvoyance, lust, conscience, and determination are weaker in animals. At the same time, vision, audition, olfaction, gustation, and defense are stronger in some animals.
