Couldn't we declare yesterday or the day before that or even ten days ago as the first day of the month? Yes, we can designate any day we see fit as the first day of the month. However, this month’s first or second day is set according to humans' needs and necessities. Today is the first, and tomorrow is the second, while, we cannot find an actual first and second.
