What Do You Know About Your Brain?

The Mechanism Of The Creation

A Section of the Article in the “Ettela’at” Newspaper, September 6th, 1953, page 6

… In this collection of pieces, organs, and tissues in the brain, so orderly and organized through long revolutions, lies the secret to humankind's supremacy over other animals. The secrets of the brain are still unknown, and philosophers and scientists have contemplated it over two thousand years to solve this mystery, only to find their attempts futile. They have provided more mysteries like mind, spirit, imagination, thoughts, and affection yet failed to find their control centers inside the brain. The only thing that most scientists believed in is that a significant part of the reasons behind the supremacy of humankind over animals lies within the higher parts of the cerebral cortex (cerebrum).
In the past thirty years, scientists have endeavored their entire force to study the brain's composition in creatures. They compared the brains of various creatures and found that most messages and effects felt by living creatures are transmitted to the cerebrum … Based on the latest discoveries in clinical departments, more than five million tissues exist inside the cerebral cortex…
Another responsibility of the cortex is creating ideas, thoughts, anticipations, providences, and contemplations. Moreover, the cortex has an exceptional power in memorizing and perceiving knowledge. A well-known scientific community in Massachusetts, USA, performed a comprehensive study on the power of memory in the cerebral cortex for 50 years and realized that an average person stores more than nine million large books in his memory and its organ that is the cerebral cortex…
… If the cerebral cortex may get damaged, and despite being undetectable to a surgeon, it may result in impairments such as epilepsy and spasm. Overall, when some brain tissues do not perform their responsibilities, one may suffer mental anxiety, hallucination, or maddening fantasies.
… One part of the brainstem, which is merely the size of a phalanx and is below the ears, is a significant nervous center dominant over human beings' sentiments and feelings and sexual affairs. It is from the activity of this part of the brain that we feel sexual desires.
… If other damages come to this part of the brain, strange energies may arise in a living being. For instance, when a cat suffered from such damage, it continued walking until it dropped dead out of tiredness; or whenever it reached a wall, it pounded its head on the wall so many times until it fell on the floor unconscious…
… The cerebrum is the center for elevated and transcended thoughts of human beings. However, it seeks counsel from other parts of the brain before making decisions. Specifically, it collaborates with the brainstem. Whenever the brainstem is busy with another task, the cerebrum waits in idle mode and collaborates on its turn.
… The cerebrum is constantly analyzing and scrutinizing matters and comes up with reasons. It evaluates all affairs and seeks counsel from other parts of the brain when in doubt. When taking action, the older parts of the brain are the parts that issue the commands.
Despite all the massive changes that the human brain has evolved over millions of years, this precise and strange mechanism is still evolving and is obtaining new traits.
