O God, Increase My Knowledge
Is it not the will of the Holy Quran expressed from the mouth of our Holy Prophet that said: “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” ? This passage indicates that an increase in knowledge is a desirable act, and it should be the motto of a Muslim. Not only should one realize this as an obligation, but it should also be a part of one’s prayers. One should continuously ask from the almighty God to increase his knowledge. This task is more than merely an obligation; it has transcended into a prayer. This prayer addresses the Holy Prophet, and it was his motto, and as the implications of the verse “for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern” (Al-Ahzab, Verse 21), his behavior and deeds should be your model and schema for goodness. As a result, all Muslims should continuously increase their knowledge. This notion is the fact that, arguably, all religions agree upon, and no one can envision anyone disagreeing on this matter.
