Tapping Potential

The Flowers Of Guidance Volume One The Path to Acquiring Knowledge

So, learning and acquiring knowledge, which is arguably one of the most significant obligations of any human being, is, in fact, the act of tapping ones potential and transforming potential talents to action. Those who endeavor to expand their knowledge in the world have taken huge leaps towards their progress and ascension. Those who die in this manner (prepared and informed) are better than those who leave the world ignorant and blind. “And whoever is blind in this [life] will be blind in the Hereafter and more astray in way.” (Al-Isra, Verse 72)

In “The Book of Job,” section 18 says: “but of course the light of those who are wicked will die out, and their fire will not be radiant. In his tent, the light turns to darkness, and his light will die out before him … he will be driven from light to darkness.”

In the book of “Kowang Tso” (a religious book in Taoism), it says: “of all the factors of adversity, nothing is worse than the loss of mind and intellect. The loss of flesh is not that devastating even.

In the Book of “Dhammapada” (of Buddhism), it is said: “one who becomes aware of his ignorance is wise, but an ignorant who considers himself wise, is truly unwise.”

I refer my dear readers to this fact that when they hear of a new agenda or idea, they should know there is already a basis for that idea in their conscious. So, instead of trying to reject it without contemplation and comprehension, they should refer to their conscious, may they find verity in there.
