The description provided for the advancement of time applies to spiritual and religious affairs as well. Religions are not disconnected from knowledge, and because of this fact, they are also subject to the same principle and rule of time. They move shoulder to shoulder with knowledge and have been continuously in progression and ascension. As denoted in religious books, during the time of the Prophet Adam, people lived unclothed, then used tree leaves to cover themselves. Then came the era of the Prophet Noah, where people did not have the knowledge to use an Ark and were educated by the great Prophet of their time. Then time progressed gradually to reach the religion and knowledge of the Prophet Abraham, then the Prophet Moses, then the Prophet Jesus (Praise be upon him), and then the great and advanced religion of Islam.
Time can be comprehended as the progression of knowledge. It can also be the progression of religion (as a subsidiary of knowledge), and the slow and continuous flow of religions also comprises time. By studying and concentrating on the religions of our forefathers, their distinctions and slow and continuous flow can be seen vividly.
We cannot compare the religion of the Prophet Noah with the religion of the Prophet Abraham, and the religiosity of the Prophet Moses (Praise be upon him) seems much more progressive than that of the Prophet Abraham. The religion of the Prophet Jesus has been much more progressive than the religion of the Prophet Moses, and the holy religion of Islam is the most comprehensive, comprised of all previous religions. In any case, their flow of progression and gradual development are vivid and proven, as this is the general principle of nature and progression of time.
