Grateful and Ungrateful
Imagine someone overcomes poverty according to his destiny. If this person were ungrateful, blasphemous, restless, or impatient during the time of destitution, he would have experienced hardship. However, one who passes this time with patience is going to live a better, more prosperous life and maintains his self-esteem. For example, imagine several individuals who are trapped in the dark and obscured night with no lights or means of lighting. Those who patiently bear this hardship and darkness will pass the night just as those in distress, inconvenience and melancholia will. The light of day will rise upon both. There is a considerable distinction between the first group having patience and the second group being impatient.
Now we should point out that God Almighty will favor those who are patient and have fortitude. Those moments that an enduring man passes with serenity, deliberation and with a smile on his face, he will receive the divine beneficence and will not suffer any hardship. On the contrary, the impatient, stressed, and selfish man will have a horrible, uncomfortable time, and he is sure to be far from the divine beneficence.
Wretched be he whose impatience and despair made him commit suicide. He abolished his life and painted a red mark over it. Had he been patient, that stage of life was sure to pass, and better times would have been on the horizon.
