Exercising Prevention of Wrath

Another important notion of patience is the prevention of wrath. When an individual is faced with negativity, be it foul words or actions, he might become angry. He might experience a sense of insanity and hurt his enemy with a weapon or may even commit murder. If only he had been patient, such outcomes would have never occurred.
When we have patience against a wrongful act or speech, the issue is sure to fade away by itself. On the contrary, if we are not patient enough, and if we become angry and react, our opposing party will not remain silent. He is sure to reciprocate, maybe to a greater magnitude. After a while, the severity of this discord will reach a level where both parties are sure to suffer grave damages. On the contrary, patience is like putting out a flame to avoid the burning of a harvest.
