Supervision in Speaking
On the notion of exercise and training, we should be persistent, unflinching, and observant. The very first method in this manner is to accustom ourselves to evaluating and contemplating our words before speaking. Once the words are spoken, it is done; or as the proverb goes: “Let not your tongue cut your throat.” So, your words are under your command until they are spoken. Once a word is spoken, you have become a servant of it, and you may not succeed in compensating its losses.
