Medical Science
The very same principle is also true in the realm of medicine. There was a time when humans had only primitive and elementary information about their bodies. In those days, even the smallest obstacles and illnesses could result in death. However, medicine progressed over time thanks in part to physicians and elders of Greece like Hippocrates and Galen. Then came the great physicians of Islam like Abu Ali Sina, Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi and Abolghasem. Then, during the era of The Renaissance, the secrets of blood circulation were revealed by William Harvey, and surgical procedures were performed by the French surgeon Ambroise Pare. Medical science progressed further when medications such as antibiotics were discovered, and the science of surgery progressed considerably. Many advancements occurred in prophylaxis (or prevention with drugs) and pathology (diagnosis of illnesses).
