Creation of Human Beings in The Holy Quran
Whenever we turn to religious texts, we see notions on the creation of human beings. There are words regarding this issue in the Book of Genesis and the Holy Quran. In the Surah Ar-Rahman, it says: “He created man from clay like that of pottery.” (Ar-Rahman, Verse 14), or “Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So, when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My spirit” (Sad, Verse 71 and 72). In another place, it says: “I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud.” (Al-Hijr, Verse 28) (That denotes the notion of the eternity of the substance, its revolutions and changes), “And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay.” (Al-Mu’minun, Verse 12) (How to talk about the original essence of creation so that the people of that time understand?) “and began the creation of man from clay.” (As-Sajdah, Verse 7) (meaning that it is the original substance of creation and the original essence of the human). In Surah Al- ‘Alaq, Verse 2, it denotes: “Created man from a clinging substance.” (meaning that God created the human from creatures like worms or clotted blood). All clarify the revolutions of creation.
