Knowledge with Constancy
We should not take science and knowledge lightly. People who take science and knowledge lightly will not achieve a positive outcome. Many pursue knowledge out of whims and temporary desires. Such individuals learn a word or two, but soon get weary, and abandon it. Such individuals do not benefit from knowledge and science and create more damage instead because they dispirit others as well. Their actions are the cause of a negative precedent for the seekers of actual knowledge. Plus, whenever they counsel others, they are sure to dissuade them with their erroneous opinion on the essence of science, unaware that it is their fault that they did not have the necessary constancy and perseverance in their pursuit of knowledge. However, we need to be steadfast in our teacher’s lessons; we must be consistent and refrain from negativity and weariness. In addition to this, we must not forget to participate in recreational activities and rest in order to maintain balance; however, we must not overindulge ourselves because that will create more fatigue, and we will lose focus. Any matter that exceeds the limits of temperance will create weariness, which yields to indulgence that results in nothing but an aggregation of tiredness, weariness, and abandonment of the principle matters.
