The Downfall to Unemployment

One of the primary reasons for emerging sorrow and pain in a human’s spirit and body is unemployment. An unemployed individual who has not been active in exercising his skills to work will be depressed. His spirit will be disturbed, upset and doleful for various reasons. First, he will perceive his existence not beneficial for society, even though feeling that he was born for a specific responsibility and that he is to carry out this responsibility to the greatest extent possible. However, his unemployment will prevent him from performing this service. Second, he will notice that people around him are busy with their occupations while he is unemployed, sitting uselessly in a corner. The constant roar of life, activity and endeavor are everywhere, while his existence remains stationary like an idle instrument. Third, he will feel as though he is a burden to others, continually receiving service from them while he cannot be of any use to them. For a glass of water to reach a human being, tens of thousands of people have strived. People excavated wells, organized rivers, constructed repositories, thousands have laid pipes throughout the city, made water flow through those pipes, monitored the pipelines and brought the water to individuals. These people have all strived and endeavored so that that human being could have that glass of water. All aspects of human life, from his eating, sleeping, his manner of dressing, his protection under a roof, his reading, his walking in the street, all we can fathom, all are results of the continuous and ceaseless striving of countless individuals.
