However, the correct command that brightens the days and nights of humanity with rays of serenity and happiness is acting upon the guidance of having kindness towards people and performing good deeds. An elder of past times said: “if all human beings truly realize the pleasure of good deeds, no one will do anything but good.”
Indeed, the purest enjoyment of the world is doing good deeds. Just like the fact, there are pure and impure fuels, the purer the charcoal, the less ash that remains. They say that a diamond, which is from coal, is so pure that when it burns, there will be no ash left from it. Among enjoyments, the most pleasurable and the purest is doing good deeds. Because other enjoyments, while pleasurable for human beings, are accompanied by the ashes of unwanted reactions. As they say: “the wine one enjoys at night is not worth the hangover of the day after.” Every enjoyment generates an undesired reaction for every joy it creates. This enjoyment from drinking alcohol may damage one’s taste buds; it creates insomnia, hopelessness, worthlessness, and so on.
