Methods of Acquiring Knowledge
Science and knowledge are within all human beings (in their body and spirit). They are not coming from outside sources, they are not strange and new information with no background in the human body and spirit. However, reading books, learning, going to school, investigation, research, and apprenticeship are all, in fact, helpful in assisting with adding context to or remembering what an individual already has available within. “So, remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.” (Al-Ghashiyah, Verse 21). If precedent knowledge were unavailable in the human body and spirit, no one would have been able to learn anything.
For this reason, we can see that inventors and discoverers cannot acquire something unprecedented. Everything they discover has a history, and its history is available in the universe. The real history of every science is in the mind of that very individual. If not, where does it come from, and how can anyone acquire any knowledge?
