Firmness and Flexibility
If we squeeze the hollow fell of a sheep, it will deflate. It will contract and expand, and it will lose its shape. This procedure would have been incredibly challenging when it had flesh and bones underneath.
When the perispirit is within the body, it shares the firmness and stiffness of the body. However, if it lacks body, it is as flexible as that hollow skin. The perispirit has all the body movements, and all sorts of moving gases reside within it as well. We can say that just as the beehive remains once the bees have left it, the perispirit remains once it leaves the flesh (body).
