Manners When Speaking
When necessary to speak, one should not forget politeness. Making an inquiry, asking for an explanation, requesting clarification and interpretation requires decorum and civility. Assuming one disagrees with something and wishes to reject it, that person should do so with politeness. Using harsh words, offensive and discourteous language, insults, profanity, sarcasm, ridiculing, and gossiping is against the explicit orders of Islam and is far from wisdom and theism, not an act that an honorable and knowledge-seeking man would do. So, whenever one feels the necessity to speak, they should never forget the rules and ethics of politeness and humanity.
Refrain from useless words, and when necessary, speak with the principle of politeness. This notion is the path toward humanity. Is it not?
