70- The Need for Good Things
Our dear fellow brother mentioned that Islam's righteous religion blesses us; why should we seek knowledge anywhere else?
I am also grateful to be a Moslem like our brother. However, this religion does not refrain us from learning good knowledge that is not in contrast with Islam.
The Holy Quran denotes: "Give the good news to the people who listen to speeches and follow the best of them." (Az-Zumar, Verses 17 and 18).
So, what is the harm in obtaining knowledge that the religion has no objection to it? On the contrary, if the knowledge is good and acceptable, we are ordered to follow it in this Verse, and if it is not acceptable, we are to reject it.
