35- Second – Olfactory Sense

The Mechanism Of The Creation Category 1: Visible Senses
The olfactory sense – The olfactory sense is among humans' fundamental and significant senses, responsible for filtering respiration and enabling life. In this picture, we see parts of the nose and the path in which air passes through.

Its characteristic is smelling, and its external tools are the olfactory receptor cells inside the nose. Olfactory sense has close connections with thoughts, mainly because their tools are in close vicinity. As a confirmation to this notion, an old saying goes: "This person has a strong sense of smell," meaning that he is intelligent. Another confirmation is the similarity between the words employed in Persian for both the nose and the brain.

Like gustatory sense, the olfactory sense guides the human to accept beneficial substances for the body and refrain from unpleasant smelling foods, subsequently remaining immune to eating spoiled and rotten food in which their smell has altered.

Story

A man describes that he liked grapes very much during his childhood. So much so that he would always ask for more grapes.
His mother perceived his persistence as gluttony and was upset about it. So, she purchased a considerable number of grapes. She then watched over him with a stick in her hand, forcing him to eat all the grapes. Of course, after eating for a bit, that man was full, and his sense of gustation could not accept any more grapes. Out of desperation, he pleaded to his mother to exempt him.
Yes, his mother did not realize that this food is beneficial to him up to the point that his gustatory system accepts, not more (of course, with the condition that his sense of gustation is healthy and not damaged).
