Ethical Honor

The Flowers Of Guidance Volume One The Serenity of Spirit and Gratification

In addition to having good behavior, moral honor is necessary as well. Honor is dignity, and one who has honor, religion, nobility, and devotion is called an honorable individual. The title of “honorable” applies to a person who performs good deeds and strives in the path of goodness. A man should be of high regard, high-minded, dignified, devoted, generous, and have a breadth of opinion. What the scholars of ethics define as honor is a quality that should exist in a man of advancement and a man who seeks the path of God, or else he will never obtain the expected results. Those who are narrow-minded and those who are miserly, selfish, vile, effortless, and a scoundrel will never reach grandeur and eminence.
