The Value of Wisdom

The Flowers Of Guidance Volume One Nine Instructive Steps to Gaining Knowledge Step 6: Religion and Knowledge

Once again, I bring forth a notation from the Holy Quran: “He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good.” (Al-Baqarah, verse 269). To properly carry out the scheme of destiny, the following will be noted as a reminder to be recorded in memory.

In “Bhagavad Gita,” a sacred book in India, it is said: “A man of wisdom that comprehends verity will teach you wisdom. Before a man of wisdom, I am the dearest, and he is the dearest before me.”

In the book “Zend of Avesta,” Epistle of Dinai Minuk Kherad, section 24, it  says: “Upon the benefits bestowed upon humans, wisdom is the most pleasant, because a good world is constructed with wisdom, and the world of spirits can also be acquired with its power.” In “Proverbs of Solomon,” section 3, it says: “Blessed be he who finds wisdom and the one who acquires intrigue. Its trade is more profitable than silver, and its product is more pleasant than pure gold. It is worthier than garnet, and all exquisite stones combined cannot be equal to it.”

The value of wisdom is so grand that the Holy Quran declared it as the most significant benefit, and whoever receives the blessing of wisdom is blessed with the tremendous gift of God.
