Teaching Theism
No diviner, Prophet, or messenger of God has ever come to teach other than the verities of the omnipotent God and to be appreciative of his blessings. Of course, every messenger of God has spoken according to the mental capacity of his time. Moreover, he taught the verities of God based on the intellects of his people. It is for this reason that whenever we evaluate the educations and religious texts of these noble individuals, we vividly see how this gradual process was in accordance with the minds of the people of their own time. The same principle also applies to nature, for divine religions had never been outside the boundaries of human nature and scientific realm. All messengers of God have spoken with divine inspiration from God.
Furthermore, they acquired their education from the infinite source and the comprehensive and ultimate knowledge of God. The same knowledge that they taught then was based on the needs of human beings in that era. They knew that if people are subject to educations higher than their knowledge and educations more than their mental capacity, they will not accept them. Just like the Prophet Muhammed (Praise be upon him) taught people hygienic orders such as showering and brushing one’s teeth, among other things, by simplifying complex concepts into language that could be more accepted by his people. If he had not done this, no one would have accepted his words, and they would have considered him a liar and dispensable.
