About Us
The most fundamental ideology of Vahdat (Unity), the Unity and alliance of religions, is expressed in the paper “Beneficial Suggestions.” It is unnecessary to repeat it here, and our dear readers can understand the concept by contemplation on it.
The goal of The New Universal Unity is that all bright-minded individuals from every religion and creed to join hands in alliance and endeavor towards the shared word of theism and the principles in which all religions agree. Furthermore, it advertises theism in the world using the best divine education and through employing the current scientific phenomena in a manner that would be understandable and agreeable to all human beings, specifically to scholars.
We respect all divine religions and honor their followers. We hope that Unity, alliance, and harmony among religions with common principles, ultimately yield an outcome where scholars, leaders, and bright-minded individuals of religions study all religious texts in their brotherly seminars, conferences, and sessions without prejudice or discrimination. We hope that they obtain the best verities to offer people with the assistance of mind and knowledge.
“The New Universal Unity” attempts to prove the unity in the infinite universe with strong natural evidence that agrees with logic and science. Within its discussions, it proves that human beings have an inseparable connection with fellow-beings, animals, plants, and other earthly beings through these natural factors. There are also connections with other planets, cosmos, nebulas, and the infinite universe through the planet earth. This infinite universe is one united body that has perfect unity and connection with all its parts and elements.
“Vahdat” (unity) shows that death is nothing but a spiritual promotion. The elements that form the essence of the universe and the forces that provide life in the elements; they all transform into each other throughout the eternal life and form various beings. Then, when their responsibility in one form concludes, they emerge in different forms. Through this cycle, the constituent substances and elements of objects in the universe come out as different beings, exhibiting various manifestations, during an infinite time, where no beginning and no end is comprehendible.
The spirit, which is of God, and is one united God’s order, is the force that moves objects and beings in the universe. The spirit works with those objects according to their organizational capacity. Even though all objects and beings have the spirit, body, and perispirit, this is simply segmentation for the sake of duties. Their verity is one, just as the mind and body, and the matter and the spirit — which the scholars and wise men of the old days considered separate — are, in fact, one force and one verity. However, they have manifested in different forms due to their duties and, therefore, attained different names.
In financial affairs, which is a fundamental pillar to human societies, Vahdat (Unity) has bright ideas. Abiding by these regulations creates peace of mind and structure and order in families. These structures and orders establish discipline within societies and nations.
On the notion of destiny, Unity believes that the infinite universe has one united plan. Like an enormous factory’s discipline and order, all components of the universe, where the planet earth and its inhabitants are but a tiny part, are mandated to act upon its general plan. If not, maintaining the order in the universe is infeasible. Throughout infinite universe are connected by chains and links and arbitrariness, and individualism of one will harm the entire universe.
So, destiny is not a strange notion; instead, it defines a plan carried out in the universe by the forces that govern it. Destiny is not against endeavor because fate will not occur if human beings do not have an endeavor. The force that drives human beings to have endeavor is not knowing the future; when one is unaware of his future, he will stop trying. In the end, part of his endeavors that follow the plan of destiny will happen, and those that are not, will not. Therefore, some human beings’ actions yield a positive outcome, while others do not. Even some of his prayers get answered while some others remain unanswered.
Despite the existence of destiny, guidance, given it is in the highest of orders from Prophets or the advice and counsel of another, is still mandatory because the guide and preacher will give the guiding words. However, its effectiveness is dependent on destiny. Those whose destinies are to be guided will be guided, but those to remain misled will not accept the guidance. If the preacher does not give advice, the destiny of guidance will remain inactive.
Unity proves that all individuals are born with a specific mental mechanism that determines his mental status and his occupation and responsibility in the world. The order in which duties are allocated within society is by this fate and destiny and is not in the hands of human beings. Later, environment and involuntary incidents assist in the completion of this fate and destiny. These incidents are destiny, and the accumulation of this fate and destiny is the plan and blueprint of the universe.
On the notion of the existence of some apparent darkness, catastrophes, and criminal activities, Vahdat (Unity) believes that since there is no force other than the unparalleled force of God in the universe. The world needs to review its point of view considering such affairs, which seem negative, but in hindsight are not.
On personal morals and virtues, The New Universal Unity believes that when human beings realize that they are not separate from other beings, their approach towards their fellow-creatures will change regarding humanity, affection, kindness, patience, leniency, forgiveness, and devotion. They will achieve that through strong logic and clear scientific reasons. They will consider the profits of others as their own and the loss of others as their detriment. They will even pay more attention and have more consideration of ethical behavior and benignity (that are honorable deeds) and will look upon animals with kindness and aid.
Regarding retribution and punishment, Vahdat (Unity) believes that a foul deed will get punished in this world as “personal revenge,” which is the natural reaction to such deeds. Also, the perispirit (that records all human actions like a movie) is one of the three forces of human (body, perispirit, and spirit) will show all deeds and actions of the human, after spiritual promotion (death). A person will receive a harsh punishment by watching his foul actions of the past or experience a valuable remuneration by watching the good deeds he did during his life.
There are many other issues in the realm of wisdom and creation and science where Vahdat (Unity) has clear and decisive and comprehensive remarks on all. It also has corrected and specific and clarified remarks on practical affairs of life, including finance, marriage, sexual relationships, ethical behavior in governing societies, personal and social responsibilities and duties, and many more.
All the topics listed concisely here, along with many more that were not present in this book, need to be expressed comprehensively for clarification. In these very few words, we cannot prove verities that had been unknown and ambiguous for centuries, including essential issues such as fate and destiny, the consumer and the consumed1, creator and creature, good and evil, and so on. We hope that discussions published in other books and publications of Vahdat (Unity) and those that will be published, by God’s will, be worthy of utilization for all human beings, so that no point of ambiguity remains in their comprehension. By translating these into other languages, every single human being can benefit abundantly from these verities.
Therefore, we expect our dear readers, who had read these brief words, that they connect with us, and read our previous writings and words, and gaze upon books and publications that will be provided later with precision and scrutiny. Hopefully, they will be satisfied and content from this time spent.
Today, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and other theist societies are in desperate need of alliance, unity and oneness. Our goal must be collaboration.
The common factors of all religions are morality, physical and moral cleanliness, and the worship and praise of God. These principles exist in all religions. All followers of each religion should join hands with their brothers and sisters in unity and alliance for these shared principles while maintaining their faith and rituals. We must protect the world from a decline under the umbrella of science with clarity and truth in religions.
These common factors require all of us to be respectful of opinions, beliefs, religions, philosophers, thinkers and scientists around the world. Religions must not chastise, oppose, fight, or try to eradicate each other. If one religion tries to hurt another, it will, by the law of nature, hurt itself. If all efforts in religions focus on eradicating and conquering others, how could theism and faith develop? Peace and prosperity will not flourish and all energies from thinkers and religious enthusiasts will squander in the rivalry.
Unfortunately, throughout time, all religions, despite being servants of God, have risen against one another because of intolerance, leading all too often to destruction, even massacre.
Consider the order of the Holy Quran, from the blissful and magnificent God to increase your knowledge:
“He has ordained for you of religion what He enjoined upon Noah and that which we have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what we enjoined upon Abraham and Moses and Jesus - to establish the religion and not be divided therein. Difficult for those who associate others with Allah is that to which you invite them.” (Ash-Shuraa, Verse 13)
“And they did not become divided until after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves.” (Ash-Shuraa, Verse 14)
These days, the era of discord has passed and the tumultuous and moving sea of beliefs has slowly moved towards serenity. Now is the time for men and women everywhere to awaken, to use their intellect, to consider the will of God and to know that all theist religions are, in fact, one. Their leaders have all been assigned by the one and only God, and they all have the same objective. All their followers are brothers and sisters in the realm of theism and their minute differences of opinions arising from the specific environment and state of mind are negligible, and that should not create animosity amongst them.
Now is the time to do the exact opposite of the past and create an environment of peace, affection and friendship amongst all religions and their followers.
Can you tell me what the result of all these animosities and dualities is?
Do you ever think about that?
This article shows the benefits of the unity of religions and how it is useful to humanity.
